Elizabeth, Zach & Maria have provided exceptional service for our clients, our projects, and to the development of our internal capabilities over the past several years. Elizabeth Johnson, Principal, has recently become a new Shareholder at HTK Architects. She joins fellow Principals on the HTK Executive Leadership Team. Elizabeth has more than 18 years’ experience as the firm’s Director of Marketing. She represents the firm’s operational interests with her broad perspective on operations and human resources. She will oversee the planning and implementation of firm-wide protocols and procedures while providing leadership by motivating, encouraging, and mentoring others to move the firm toward its vision. Acknowledging the unique, design and entrepreneurial qualities at HTK, Elizabeth is committed to investing in people, technology and research.

Zachary Snethen was recently promoted to Associate while becoming a new Shareholder at HTK Architects. Zach has more than 15 years’ experience serving as a senior project manager and architect on a variety of complex projects. He has built a reputation as an outstanding leader, creative thinker, and designer with significant contributions to his clients and community. He recently led significant projects at the Kansas Expocentre, Downtown Topeka Plaza, Washburn Tech East and USD 501’s Capitol City High School. Zach will manage the process of firm-wide technology planning including virtual reality, project quality control and community advocacy. His holistic design approach intertwines professional and community involvement to move HTK forward in developing projects with higher social and civic significance.

Maria Kutina was recently promoted to Associate while becoming a new Shareholder at HTK Architects. Maria has more than 8 years’ experience serving as a senior project manager and production leader on a majority of the firm’s recent projects. She has proven to be a strong organizational leader with exemplary client relations and an excellent business management acumen. Her recent significant projects include Ft. Leavenworth Transient Barracks, Washburn University Lincoln Hall Housing & Dining, Mathes Early Learning Center and Auburn Washburn High School. Maria will manage the Topeka Architecture Studio production planning, forecast staffing needs and complete technical product research. She is a process driven leader who will elevate the business practice of HTK in an ever changing future.
