Beaufort Elementary was one of the oldest buildings in the Union R-XI School District, located far outside of town. A new gym/storm shelter was needed. With the old gym being vacated, this space was changed to a new media center increasing square footage from the previous size. Other spaces were renovated as well including classrooms & front offices. This provided a refreshed building vs replacing the entire building.
