The scope of this Johnson County project was the design, collaboration, and coordination of a new maintenance facility for the use of the Mid-America West Sports Complex groundskeepers, laborers, and administrative staff. It combines maintenance and shop requirements with administrative and storm shelter capacities. Site lay-out ties in to future master plan for ease of future construction. Sustainable features were included in the design of this project such as motion sensing lighting, low-flow plumbing fixtures, efficient modular wood framing, insulated mechanical ductwork and plumbing, gravity based drainage of building and site and planting of new trees and sod on site.
