The Operations and Training Facility is designed to house a multitude of differing functions for the 190th ARW, Kansas Air National Guard at Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas. The 190th consists of 8 KC-135 aircrafts and requires adequately sized and configured space for the Operations and Training and Security Forces Personnel. Functional areas include spaces for the wing Commander’s headquarters and support group, personnel, finance, recruiting offices, JAG offices, family services, chaplain, social actions, public affairs, safety, historian base central security control and the auditorium. Security forces require space for training security personnel, battle staff, administration, small arms vault, arms cleaning, maintenance, and mobility storage. The combat arms training system is a computer based weapons training system that requires space for shooting positions, storage, a small office, computers, and projectors. This system is used to train all unit personnel in the proper use and handling of firearms.
