HTK Architects is proud to announce the promotions of J. Gordon Kimble, AIA, NCARB, CSI and Elizabeth Johnson. Gordon and Elizabeth have provided exceptional service for our clients, our projects, and to the development of our internal capabilities over the past several years.  The promotions reflect our growth and long term plans for the ongoing success of HTK Architects. Gordon Kimble was recently promoted to Principal while becoming a new Shareholder at HTK Architects.  Gordon has more than 20 years’ experience, all at HTK, serving as a senior project manager and architect on a variety of complex projects.  He has built a reputation in design excellence and communicating with diverse client groups and multi-disciplinary consultant teams.

He recently led significant projects at West Platte, Basehor-Linwood and KCK Schools.  Gordon will manage the process of firm-wide manpower planning, forecast staffing needs, and complete technical product research. He is a forward thinking leader who will continue to build HTK’s office with a respect for tradition and a creative vision for the future.

Elizabeth Johnson was recently promoted to Principal at HTK Architects. Elizabeth has more than 17 years’ experience as the firm’s Director of Marketing.  She represents the firm’s operational interests with her broad perspective on operations and human resources.  She will oversee the planning and implementation of firm-wide protocols and procedures while providing leadership by motivating, encouraging, and mentoring others to move the firm toward its vision.  Acknowledging the unique, design and entrepreneurial qualities at HTK, Elizabeth is committed to investing in people, technology and research.
