HTK was commissioned to provide services to the KANG / AGD for a Field Maintenance Shop to accompany the Wichita Readiness Center, also under contract by HTK. The project was required to be LEED Certified Silver but will likely certify at Gold. The Field Maintenance Shop is 58,452 SF at a cost of $22,746,000 MCC.

The Facility is divided into two parts: the work bays and the support offices. There are 6 double length bays approximately 40’x140’. Two bays accommodate 40’ wide cranes with a hook height of 25’. One bay is vehicle warming and staging. One half- bay is a vehicle wash bay. The remaining bays are general purpose. All bays incorporate oil and lube systems, vehicle exhaust, roll-up over-sized doors, drive through accommodations and computer stations. The support offices house a general supervisor, production control, an inspection library, common IT, a general classroom, a conference room, the physical fitness area, and a break room. Other areas include a battery room, laundry room, flammable materials storage area, a bulk POL storage area for the lube system, bulk equipment storage, a tool room, a supply room, a controlled waste area and unheated storage.
