The Kids’s Library underwent an exciting transformation to create a more engaging, accessible, and dynamic space for kids of all ages. The reimagined library features expanded programming areas, creative corners for elementary-age children and pre-teens, and a dedicated story time space equipped with AV technology for larger audiences and improved accessibility.

Enhancements also include a sensory-friendly environment, an enclosed infant play area, and an outdoor patio with a natural play zone. Interactive elements bring the space to life, from
an imaginative play area and aquarium to themed reading nooks like a “campground,” “crows nest,” and a rock climbing wall. A new school-age hangout will offer computers and video games, while an integrated teen activity space will provide gaming stations, activity tables, and casual seating.

Construction was completed in phases to ensure continued access to materials and events, with temporary relocations. The TSCPL Kid’s Library is an inspiring and inclusive destination where children, caregivers, and families can learn, explore, and play.
